I would like this to be a like that the parents can open up and it be a progress sheet type of thing. At the pre-school level we keep more of a portfolio than a grade sheet and I would like to have a link for parents to view their kids pregress.
example:
Allie' portfolio
Jack's portfolio
mary's portfolio
We could scan the childrens work and make an online portfolio for the parents to view their child's work without have thousands of papers sent home. A neat way of saving all their work.
... these would all open up and then be an interactive view of all the childrens work.

I like your idea of the portfolio for the parents to look at on the web. I also looked at the Dora the Explorer and that is very cute.
