Our letter this week is B

Parents,
Our letter of the week is B. We will be doing various activities in class using the letter B. It would be beneficial if you bring up the letter of the week to you children during dinner or whenever and practice words that stat with the letter. This will help them out greatly in class. :)

For the Parents

I would like this to be a like that the parents can open up and it be a progress sheet type of thing. At the pre-school level we keep more of a portfolio than a grade sheet and I would like to have a link for parents to view their kids pregress.

We could scan the childrens work and make an online portfolio for the parents to view their child's work without have thousands of papers sent home. A neat way of saving all their work.
... these would all open up and then be an interactive view of all the childrens work.

Blogging is an interactive way for parents to communicate, see what the children are doing, keep track of their children's progress, and let the kids play some fun learning games. Because the grade I am aiming for is pre-k the blog page would be more for the parents, but the kids can go onto sites and play with the parents help. Kids may also have an about me just for all the children to get to know each other.
